This Week's Patch for The Division 2

The gadget cooldown bug hadn't shown up in The Division 2's beta a month prior to launch. The developers would later say that it appeared in the full game due to a coding problem that only manifested once many people were playing. The Division 2's beta had been really impressive and had gone pretty smoothly. The full game had also had a successful early launch for people who paid for a special $100 version. By the time it was coming out it had weeks of praise at its back. Now this bug was ruining a major facet of the game's combat system. You could play around it, but it was really annoying. Maybe calamity was about to kick in again?
The first talent is also called Liberty. Any hostile electronic (including weak points, turrets, drones, the BIGDOG-walker-robot-thingies and the RC cars) are highlighted when you aim. Liberty also buffs the pistol's damage dealt to these electronics by +100%. On the one hand, learning enemy weak points isn't too difficult and, once you do, a big part of this talent becomes pointless. On the other, it will still help you identify priority targets in a busy firefight, because it is incredibly easy for things like RC cars to slip past your defences unnoticed. Next up is Blind Justice, which works in tandem with Liberty. Once you've destroyed a weak point or enemy electronic, your next shot will deal a whopping +500% weapon damage. If that single shot kills an enemy, your magazine is refilled and granted +100% weapon damage.
Elsewhere in the charts there is little to report, as this has been one of the quieter fortnights in what has been quite a packed first quarter, no doubt the next big release to make its presence felt is Warner Bros. Mortal Kombat 11, which is practically guaranteed to take the top spot on release.
Interestingly, Assassin's Creed Odyssey has found its way back into the top ten in sixth place thanks to a 62% increase in sales thanks to Easter sales. These sales also saw titles like Marvel's Spider-Man land in tenth place with a 145% increase in sales, followed by God of War which climbs to twenty-sixth place with a 285% increase in sales. The Crafting Bench bug preventing some players from being able to upgrade it should now be fixed. With each World Tier, players should now get the upgrade blueprint needed to push the bench into the new tier.
It may seem strange to praise a new game for the quick fix of a bug. We usually praise games for what they do well, of which there is plenty to laud The Division 2 for. If you liked this post and you would like to get even more information concerning

Launches of games like the Division 2 (think: Destiny, Anthem) have been rough. Save for this bug, The Division 2's launch was smooth, and the swift fix to the cooldown bug signaled one of the most exciting things about the game.
